The Additional Details settings give you control over whether you include employees in an appraisal, based on their probation expiry date or start date.

In the table below, we've outlined what each option means 👇

Option

Description

Do not include employees with a future probation expiry date

Employees are excluded if their probation expiry date is on or after the appraisal start date.

Use this to avoid assigning appraisals to employees still on probation.

Only include employees with a future probation expiry date

Employees are only included if their probation expiry date is on or after the appraisal start date.

Use this if the appraisal is specifically for employees currently in, or just finishing, probation.

Automatically assign to employees whose probation expiry date occurs within X days of the start date

Once the appraisal starts, the system checks daily for the number of days set in the Number of Days field.

If an employee’s probation expiry date falls within that period and is populated on their profile, the appraisal will automatically be assigned to them.

Automatically assign to employees whose start date occurs within X days of the start date

Similar to the above option, the system checks daily for the defined number of days after the appraisal start date.

If an employee’s start date falls within that timeframe, the appraisal will be automatically assigned.

These automated options help ensure new starters or probation-ending employees don’t miss relevant reviews, even if their details are added after the appraisal begins.
