When you set up an objective type within an objective cycle, you have the option to decide who has visibility. When you enable this, you allow users to select who can view the objectives that they create for this objective type.

There are three visibility types to choose from:

  • Public: All users can view the objective.

  • Private: Only the user who created the objective can view it.

  • Confidential: Only the user who created the objective and their manager can view it.

πŸ“ŒNote: If you don't enable the Decide who has visibility option, each objective defaults to Confidential.

Once you've activated the objective cycle, you can disable or enable the option for users to edit the visibility of their objectives.

Amend the option to edit visibility

  1. From the dashboard menu, select Talent Dashboard.

  2. Click Objective cycles then create or edit an objective cycle.

  3. Click Types then, next to the relevant objective, click the three-dot menu.

  4. Select Options then enable or disable Decide who has visibility.

  5. Click Save.

Once you've done this, to edit the objective visibility, the user can follow the steps in the next section.
